Daniela graduated from London Contemporary Dance School (LCDS) in 2006 before joining LCDS’ post graduate dance company EDge 07. Since then Daniela has completed her MA in performance (also at LCDS) whilst pursuing a career in dance working with companies such as Made by Katie Green, Stopgap Dance Company, Marc Brew Company – for whom she was also creative assistant to for Fusional Fragments, an Unlimited Commission as part of London 2012 Cultural Olympiad – and is part of the Casson & Friends collective. Whilst having a strong passion for integrated dance, Daniela also loves to fly. Since 2010 she has been an aerialist with Wired Aerial Theatre specialising in bungee-assisted dance and vertical wall performance. She is now in a full time post as Head Performer & Education Co-ordinator performing in Wired’s medium and large scale outdoor productions as well as heading the educational programme at Wired’s HQ, The Higher Space, Liverpool. Daniela works closely alongside the Company directors (Wendy Hesketh-Ogilvie and Jamie Ogilvie) to deliver aerial dance performance modules at Edge Hill University, Ormskirk and LIPA, Liverpool.
Daniela continues to work with and deliver workshops for various programmes, companies, schools and dance agencies throughout the UK, including Dance Manchester’s creative boys project STRIDE in conjunction with Company Chameleon, Manchester, and National Youth Dance Company hosted by Sadler’s Wells, London. Daniela also co-choreographs and performs alongside Robert Guy as well as taking on independent commissions.
Daniela has had the glorious pleasure of tapping with Sole Rebel Tap since the start of 2014.
